About Me
My name is Gem and I have been a registered psychologist since 1997 and then went on to complete my clinical training in 1998 and 1999 at the University of Queensland.
I have over 20 years of clinical experience having worked with both adults and children in public, private, hospital, and Government sectors. I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist which means that I have specialist training in the diagnosis and treatment of clinical disorders of adult hood and childhood.
I have treated people experiencing a range of difficulties including, anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, stress and adjustment, separation/divorce and self-esteem issues.
I work with both children and adults and has a particular interest in the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders including the administration of the ADOS-2, Intellectual/Cognitive Ability Assessments, Learning Disorder Assessments for Dyslexia, Dysgraphia and Dyscalculia, ADHD assessments and other assessments including for conditions such as Tourette’s Syndrome, Tic Disorder’s, and Global Developmental Delay.
I am also an accredited Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) provider.
